Alimas Holiday Retreat has much to offer, with 15 fully air-conditioned and spacious rooms. In addition, we offer attractions such as snorkeling at the shipwreck just 5 minutes boat ride away and more.
Excursions like this are arranged for our guest on request.
Alimas Holiday Retreat also has it’s own restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. All our room bookings are based on full board rates.
If you need to have some coffee or tea in between, there are two coffee shops nearby Alimas.

The island is 77.92 km (48 mi; 42 nmi) south of the country’s capital, Malé.
Five populated islands and a pupulation under 2300 makes Vaavu Atoll the smallest administrative atoll in Maldives. There are about 19 islands in the atoll in addition to several small islets. However, it’s more isolated and less commercialized than any of the other tourist atolls. Vaavu Atoll hosts some of the best diving locations in the Maldives. Fotteyo Kan’du is considered by many as the best dive site in the country and one of the top five in the world.
Vaavu Atoll is a boot-shaped atoll and the ‘toe’, Fotteyo Muli is the easternmost point of the Maldives archipelago. In addition to this, the 55km long unbroken reef that stretches from the ‘toe’ to the ‘heel’ of the ‘boot’ is the longest reef in the Maldives and the island Fotteyo Bodufushi on this reef is the eastern island.
Vaavu Atoll has been exposed to tourism since 1975 and the atoll has been a great favourite with safari and cruise operators. The reefs of the eastern side of the atoll are in pristine condition and are wonderful for divers and snorkellers alike. There are many thrilling shark dives in the atoll, where divers may be lucky enough to see hammerhead sharks as well as the more common grey sharks.
One of the most demanded tourist attractions is to visit the shipwrecked site for snorkeling excursion.
